May 20, 2026
LA Pierce College baseball's postseason run came to an end after a hard-fought three-game Super Regional series against Fullerton College.
The Brahmas opened the series with a 12-10 win, jumping out to a 9-1 lead by the fourth inning before holding off a late Hornets rally. Ethan Granillo delivered one of the biggest swings of the game with a grand slam during a six-run third inning, while Braden Sellz added a three-run home run in the fourth to help Pierce take the opener.
Fullerton responded in Game 2 with a 15-4 win to even the series. Christian Santiago and Jeremy Jones each recorded three hits for the Brahmas, while Juan Tirado added a solo home run.
In the decisive Game 3, Pierce continued to battle. Trailing late, JJ Fagfoomsintu came through with an RBI single in the top of the eighth to tie the game at 3-3. Fullerton answered in the bottom half with a bases-clearing triple from Diego Vazquez and went on to take the finale, 7-3, advancing to the Regional Finals.
Although the run comes to an end, LA Pierce Athletics is very proud of this team, its players, and the coaching staff who gave their all throughout the season and postseason. The Brahmas showed fight, resilience, and heart, and represented LA Pierce College with pride.
