Brahmas Rally Late, But Fall Just Short vs. Valley
The Pierce College Brahmas showed heart and hustle on Saturday night but ultimately came up just short in a back-and-forth battle against LA Valley, falling in a close one despite a spirited second-half comeback.
The Brahmas were down early but refused to go quietly. Ahmir Brown sparked the defense with a momentum-shifting fumble recovery and later added an interception, giving the offense multiple chances to capitalize.
On the offensive side, JD Gilbert was a two-way workhorse, rushing for 46 tough yards and recording seven tackles on defense. Brandon Woods punched in a key touchdown to keep the game within reach, while Roman Rough powered in for two touchdowns of his own, giving Pierce a real shot at turning the tide.
The Brahmas outscored LA Valley in the second half and had the momentum late, but a stalled final drive ended their chances of completing the comeback.
Now sitting hungry for redemption, Pierce looks to regroup and get back in the win column as they hit the road to face LA Southwest next Saturday at 6 PM.
