Pierce College men's soccer battled their way to a hard-earned road victory over Allan Hancock College.
The breakthrough came moments before halftime when sophomore Jesse Castillo found the net after a well-placed assist from fellow sophomore Deven Hurst, giving the Brahmas the momentum heading into the second half. From there, the defense remained organized and disciplined, denying the Bulldogs multiple scoring chances.
Goalkeeper Tony Ramirez anchored the back line with four key saves, keeping the clean sheet intact and helping secure the win.
With the result, the Brahmas improve to 2-2 in conference play, continuing to climb the standings as the season progresses.
Pierce will look to carry that energy back home this Friday at 6 p.m. when they host Oxnard College in another crucial Western State Conference matchup at Shepard Stadium.
