The LA Pierce College men's soccer team closed out its 2025 season in style, earning a hard-fought 3–2 victory over Allan Hancock College on Friday afternoon at Shepard Stadium, a perfect way to celebrate the program's sophomore class.
Before kickoff, the Brahmas honored their second-year players for their dedication, leadership, and impact on and off the field. Each sophomore was recognized alongside family and teammates, receiving heartfelt applause from the home crowd. The ceremony set the tone for an emotional and determined final match of the year.
Once the whistle blew, Pierce made sure the night matched the occasion. Jimmy Bermudez struck first in the 32nd minute with a composed penalty to give the Brahmas the lead. After Allan Hancock tied the game early in the second half, Ousseynou Diop answered quickly off a setup from Jesse Castillo. The Bulldogs equalized again in the 60th minute, but just three minutes later, Angel Pozo buried the game-winner on a feed from Bermudez to put Pierce back in front for good.
The 3–2 win capped the Brahmas' 2025 campaign at 5-12-1 overall (3-6 in WSC play).
