The Pierce College women's soccer team made a powerful statement on Wednesday, earning its first win of the 2025 season in style with a 6-1 rout of Clovis.
After a competitive first half that saw both teams head into the break tied 1-1, the Brahmas came out firing in the second half, relentless in attack and locked in on both ends of the field.
Freshman forward Rian Solan led the charge with two goals and and two assists, showing her ability to create and finish under pressure. Freshman Stephany Ramirez matched her with two goals of her own, helping ignite a second-half surge that overwhelmed the Clovis defense.
Jocelyn Coronado, an All-American in 2024, and Sophomore Brianna Gutierez each added a goal, as Pierce turned up the intensity and kept pressing forward, constantly knocking on the door until the goals poured in.
Pierce dictated the pace after halftime, dominating possession and creating chance after chance, while their backline remained solid to shut down any response from Clovis.
The win moves Pierce to 1-1-1 on the season, and they'll look to keep the momentum rolling in their next match at home vs. Victor Valley on Friday, September 5, at 6 PM.
