Nevarez Claims WSC North Offensive Player of the Year; Brahmas Earn 11 All-Conference Honors
The LA Pierce women's soccer program added another historic chapter to its legacy this week as Melissa Nevarez was officially named the Western State Conference North Division Offensive Player of the Year. Capping off a breakout season that solidified her as one of the conference's premier attacking threats.
Her conference award highlights what was a dominant all around year for Pierce, as the Brahmas landed a total of 11 All-WSC selections. Showcasing the program showcases its depth, discipline, and competitive consistency across every position group.
The sophomore captain recorded 21 points, including 8 goals and 5 assists. Following her freshman campaign, in which she was an All-Conference first team selection.
With Nevarez's conference award leading the way and 12 players recognized across the All Conference teams, LA Pierce once again proved why it remains one of the WSC's most respected and competitive programs.
